Vaginal Rejuvenation

Discreet, consultant-led care for women seeking support with vaginal comfort, tone, lubrication, sexual wellbeing, and pelvic floor symptoms.

Specialist Vaginal Rejuvenation in Cork

Vaginal rejuvenation describes a range of non-surgical and minimally invasive treatments that may help women experiencing changes in vaginal comfort, lubrication, elasticity, tone, sensation, or mild urinary symptoms.

These changes may follow childbirth, hormonal change, menopause, ageing, weight change, previous surgery, or pelvic floor weakness. Professor Barry O'Reilly provides a careful, respectful assessment and discusses whether vaginal rejuvenation treatment, pelvic floor support, medical treatment, or another gynaecological option is most appropriate.

Common Concerns

Women may seek advice for a range of symptoms or concerns, including:

  • Changes in vaginal tone, laxity, or sensation after childbirth or ageing.
  • Vaginal dryness, irritation, discomfort, or painful intercourse.
  • Mild urinary leakage, urgency, or pelvic floor weakness.
  • Scarring, discomfort, or changes after childbirth, previous procedures, or trauma.
  • Loss of confidence, self-consciousness, or changes in sexual wellbeing.

Treatment Options

Non-Surgical Vaginal Rejuvenation

Non-surgical treatments may be suitable for women looking to improve vaginal comfort, lubrication, elasticity, tone, sensation, or mild urinary symptoms without an operation. Suitability depends on symptoms, examination findings, medical history, and realistic expectations.

EmpowerRF by InMode

EmpowerRF uses radiofrequency and muscle stimulation technologies to support pelvic floor strengthening and vaginal rejuvenation. It may help improve vaginal tone, lubrication, pelvic floor function, and mild urinary symptoms with minimal downtime.

Fotona Vaginal Laser

Fotona Er:YAG laser treatment is designed to stimulate collagen remodelling in the vaginal tissues. It may be considered for symptoms such as reduced elasticity, dryness, vaginal laxity, or mild stress urinary incontinence.

O-Shot

The O-shot uses platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, taken from a patient's own blood and injected around the clitoris and the vaginal G-spot area. It is intended to support sexual sensation and orgasmic response in suitable patients.

Topical anaesthetic, ice, or local anaesthetic may be used for comfort. Evidence is still developing, and it is not usually expected to help women who have never experienced orgasm.

G-Shot

The G-shot refers to placement of filler in the G-spot area. It is designed to temporarily augment this area and may be discussed for women seeking support with sexual sensation.

Results are temporary and may need repeat treatment after several months. As with all intimate procedures, a consultation is important to discuss goals, possible benefits, risks, limitations, and whether treatment is clinically appropriate.

Your Consultation

The first step is a private consultation in which your symptoms, goals, medical history, childbirth history, sexual health concerns, and any previous treatments are reviewed. Where appropriate, an examination can help identify whether symptoms are hormonal, pelvic floor related, tissue related, sexual-function related, or a combination of factors.

You will be talked through suitable options in clear language, including expected benefits, possible risks, recovery or downtime, and whether treatment is likely to meet your goals. Some women need reassurance and conservative treatment; others may benefit from non-surgical technology, injectable treatment, pelvic floor care, or a more formal gynaecological assessment.

Professor O'Reilly's approach is discreet, evidence-based, and patient-centred. Vaginal rejuvenation is never a one-size-fits-all service. The aim is to support comfort, function, confidence, sexual wellbeing, and quality of life while keeping expectations realistic and care medically appropriate.
